Summer 2004 - Driving Around the Country by Buddy & Leia

In the summer of 2004 we hit the road in this thing.

It was pretty cozy inside.

There was no shortage of comfortable places to nap.

Dad was cooking ...

Mum was eating ...

We were hanging out ... it was not unlike being like home.

But the cool thing was all the adventures we had. We drove from place to place, having fun wherever we went.

We went to the most amazing places, like the Painted Desert in Arizona..

... and saw really cool stuff like the salt flats in Utah (dad's legs tasted especially good afterwards) ...

... not to mention Gibbon, Nebraska

We even went to visit mum's mum in Chicago.

We saw where mum's dad lives, too. We like his place a lot!

Buddy learned to swim! (sort of ....)

Leia explored ...

All in all, it was the best time ever. We wished it would never end.

But we missed Buster, so we finally came home. And life at home is pretty good, too.

Thanksgiving in Taos by Buddy

Taos was great! We'd never been in snow before. Snow makes funny crunchy noises when you're walking on it.

Dad kept throwing snowballs at me. I tried to catch 'em in my mouth, but they break apart immediately.

They're pretty tasty, though, so I don't mind.

California's got as much to offer as anyplace we've been! Wide open landscapes ....

Life is good here.
